##Overview

This dataset was created using data from the Lichess open database, a comprehensive source of public chess games played on the Lichess platform. For the dataset creation, games specifically from Jan2024 and May 2017 were targeted for detailed analysis. To maintain a manageable dataset size, a selective approach was employed:

• 1.5% of the analyzed games from Jan 2024
• 7% of the analyzed games from May 2017

were randomly chosen for inclusion.

##Fields

• GameID: A unique identifier for each game.
• Event: The name or type of the chess event or tournament.
• Round: denotes the sequence of a game within a tournament, reflecting its chronological order.
• Site: The link to a game on lichess.org.
• Date: The date when the game was played.
• Time: The time when the game started.
• White: The username or identifier of the player who played with white pieces.
• WhiteElo: The Elo rating of the white player at the time of the game.
• WhiteRatingDiff: The change in Elo rating for the white player resulting from the game.
• White_is_deleted: Indicates if the white player's account has been deleted (Boolean).
• White_tosViolation: Indicates if the white player has violated terms of service (Boolean).
• White_profile_flag: Indicates if there is a flag on the white player's profile.
• White_createdAt: The creation date(unix format) of the white player's account.
• White_playTime_total: The total playtime(seconds) of the white player on the platform.
• White_count_all: The total number of games played by the white player.
• White_title: The chess title of the white player, if any (e.g., GM, IM, FM).
• Black: The username or identifier of the player who played with black pieces.
• BlackElo: The Elo rating of the black player at the time of the game.
• BlackRatingDiff: The change in Elo rating for the black player resulting from the game.
• Black_is_deleted: Indicates if the black player's account has been deleted (Boolean).
• Black_tosViolation: Indicates if the black player has violated terms of service (Boolean).
• Black_profile_flag: Indicates if there is a flag on the black player's profile.
• Black_createdAt: The creation date(unix format) of the black player's account.
• Black_playTime_total: The total playtime(seconds) of the black player on the platform.
• Black_count_all: The total number of games played by the black player.
• Black_title: The chess title of the black player, if any (e.g., GM, IM, FM).
• Moves: A string of moves in the game in standard algebraic notation(including evaluation and clock comments).
• TotalMoves: The total number of moves in the game.
• ECO: The Encyclopaedia of Chess Openings code for the game's opening.
• Opening: The name of the opening played in the game.
• TimeControl: The time control settings for the game (e.g., "60+0"(bullet) 60 seconds with no increment).
• Termination: specifies the conclusion of a chess game, indicating whether it ended by checkmate, stalemate, resignation, time forfeiture, or other conditions.
• Result: The outcome of the game (e.g., "1-0" for a win for white, "0-1" for a win for black, "1/2-1/2" for a draw).
