Context

Results of subsampling digitized outcrop fracture network at Getaberget, Åland Islands, Finland.

The field work and subsequent analysis was done as a part of a Geological Survey of Finland -project, KYT KARIKKO, with funding from Finnish National Nuclear Waste Management Fund (KYT). Field work was done during the summer of 2020.

Both datasets were created with fractopo-subsampling Python scripts.

This dataset was subsampled by creating smaller target circles within the digitized full, base, circles (n=13). Within each smaller circle the cropped fracture traces were analyzed for geometric and topological parameters (stage 1 dataset) with fractopo.

Consequently I aggregated the stage 1 subsamples to represent an overall characterization of the outcrop at Getaberget (stage 2 dataset). Only selected geometric and topological parameters were chosen for stage 2 aggregation.
