This dataset contains information about wildfires that occurred around the world between 2002 and 2022. It includes more than 22 million rows and 8 columns. Additionally, a global shapefile layer containing all countries is included. This enables users to easily extract data for specific countries.

The columns in this dataset include:

• Numb: The row number
• ID: A unique identifier for each wildfire
• Initialdate: The start date of the wildfire
• Finaldate: The end date of the wildfire
• Area_ha: The area of the wildfire in hectares
• Longitude: longitude
• Latitude: latitude
• Numb Days: Number of fire days

This dataset is based on information from the Global Wildfire Information System (GWIS) that series of specialized processes were performed in a GIS environment to improve the accuracy and completeness of this dataset.
