Motivation

As you might expect, I love chess just as much as you! Un/fortunately I didn't find the type of dataset I was looking for on kaggle, so I made my own!

Context

chess_titled_players.csv contains the details of around 20,000 chess titled players, as of august 2021. It contains the details of the FIDE id, name, sex, rating, birth year, highest title obtained, year of title obtention.

I've also added players_rating.csv the rating of the titled players in the 3 main time format (classical, rapid and blitz) from 2000 to september 2021. However we only have the regular 12 months a year starting 2013.
