Our dataset consisted solely of tweets from Congress members, gathered exclusively from the official Twitter handles listed on the Congress website. In 2024, we accessed all tweets posted by Congress members throughout the year using the Twitter API. After gathering tweets from Congress members in 2024, we divided the dataset into two main categories: Republican and Democrat. Additionally, we further segmented the dataset based on the chamber of Congress each member belonged to. This included categorizing tweets from members of the House of Representatives, Senators, or both chambers.
