YouTube comments section is an interesting place. It's where you allocate half of your attention while watching a video, especially on mobile. It's where edgy one-liners and text-based memes can be found to garner likes. EDIT: Whoa, thanks for 1K!!

From content creator's perspective, it's one of the places where they find rare golden nuggets for video ideas and encouraging feedback. Unfortunately, it's also where they mostly get mean or disrespectful comments from.

This dataset contains comments from several videos of several YouTube science channels -- Vsauce, Veritasium, etc.

Can you point out interesting patterns in this data?

• Are the comments mean? Are they criticizing the creator in a constructive or destructive way?
• Can you point out bots?
• What about comments farming for likes? Posting memes and in-jokes aiming for > 1K thumbs up? Are they commonplace/saturated enough?
• and so on and so forth. Unlimited ideas.
