This dataset is from the fourth edition of the Shell.ai Hackathon for Sustainable and Affordable Energy, a platform that brings together brilliant minds passionate about digital solutions and AI, to tackle real energy challenges and help build a lower-carbon world.

Dataset description

The dataset contains the following:

Biomass_History.csv: The time-series of biomass availability in the state of Gujarat, spanning from 2010 to 2017, is presented. The analysis takes into account the arable land, depicted as a map comprising 2418 uniformly sized grid blocks, which represent distinct harvesting sites. To enhance usability, the map has been flattened, accompanied by essential information such as location index, latitude, longitude, and year-specific biomass availability for each of the harvesting sites.

Distance_Matrix.csv: The travel distance between the source grid block and the destination grid block is encapsulated within a matrix of dimensions 2418 by 2418. It's important to note that this matrix is not symmetric owing to factors such as U-turns and one-way routes, which contribute to variations in distances for journeys from source to destination as opposed to journeys from destination to source.
